ISS Policy Survey Extended to 8/9/2010

On August 4, 2010, in ISS, ISS Policies, by Ed Hauder

From  Martha Carter, Ph.D, Global Head of Research

For those of you who haven’t had the chance to respond, we have extended the deadline for ISS’ Policy Survey until Monday August 9th. We hope you will take a few minutes to complete the survey today. If you are one of the hundreds who have already responded, we thank you for your input, and look forward to sharing preliminary results exclusively with you in a few weeks.

With the many anticipated changes to the market and the regulatory landscape for governance, we are focusing on your fundamental views and priorities regarding a small number of key corporate governance issues. Thus, this year’s survey is significantly shorter and simpler than in prior years, with just 29 high-level questions on the most important topics. In return for your participation, you will receive exclusive preliminary results in August with key findings from the survey.

As you know, ISS collects market feedback on emerging governance issues as part of its uniquely transparent process for updating our proxy voting policies. Our annual Policy Survey is an important source of broad-based input about the topics that matter to investors and all financial market participants. Your survey responses are an important starting point for our broader policy formulation process.

To access the survey, please visit www.issgovernance.com/policy/2010survey. More information on ISS’ policy formulation process is available through the ISS Policy Gateway at www.issgovernance.com/policy. In return for your participation, you will receive an exclusive early report in August with key findings from the survey.

Please note that the Policy Survey will close on August 3. We truly appreciate your thoughtful feedback. [Ed.'s note: I assume that this part of the message should also reflect the extended August 9 date, but this is the original message as I received it.]

Warm regards,

Yours sincerely,

Martha Carter, Ph.D
